Clay Mein is a cinematographer and director of photography based in southeast Virginia. His work leans into natural light, real people, and environments that don’t need much dressing up; like his doc-style campaigns for Seager Company, Go Hunt, and Visit NC. Clay’s filmed projects everywhere from western european surf culture to backcountry expeditions in the northwest.
Before focusing full-time on camera work, he co-founded Abyss Films, a production company rooted in documentary storytelling. His background also includes directing branded content and music videos for Republic Records, Vans Europe, and Sig Sauer.
